PipeHawk
are delighted to announce the sale of two PipeHawk II Ground Probing
Radar Systems to the UK Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA). This follows
on from a previous order, bringing the total number of systems
now being used by the organisation to three.
The first of the new units will be deployed at the UKAEA Harwell
site in Didcot. Formerly an RAF airfield during the second world
war before becoming a nuclear research establishment, the site is
now being restored and progressively transformed into a science and
technology business centre.
The PipeHawk ground probing radar system is being used to locate current and
disused utilities services and other subsurface objects, thus ensuring safe
digging during excavation work.
The second of the units is being used at the UKAEA Dounreay for
the detection of subsurface utilities and other objects as part of
the maintenance of the ongoing utilities infrastructure. In addition
the PipeHawk II System is being used as part of a decommissioning
programme similar to the work being carried out at the Harwell site. |
